What is colour-correcting?
Colour correcting is a concealer technique that professional makeup artists have used for years – a technique that helps us to counter-balance or neutralise any unwanted skin tones by using coloured make-up products.
Who needs colour-correcting make-up?
Colour correcting make-up is for anyone who struggles with uneven skin tone, dark spots, blemishes, sun spots, acne scars or mild redness all over the face. It helps to improve the appearance of the skin by disguising discolouration and creating a more even looking tone.
How does colour-correcting makeup work?
The technique of colour correcting is based on the use of the colour wheel. Any colours that are opposite each other on the colour wheel cancel each other out. Green cancels out red; orange cancels out blue, and yellow cancels out purple.

Apply by blending four shades together to even out skin tone beneath your foundation and concealer. Alternatively, apply afterwards to fix your conealer and foundation into place.
Which shade should I use?
Green shades help to even out the appearance of blemishes and all kinds of redness. Purple shades work very well on old bruises and age spots. Yellow is a good choice for covering up mild redness and dark under-eye circles. You can also use orange shades to brighten the area under your eyes and soften the appearance of blue tones.
